On behalf of the PTFA I would like to welcome you to St Andrew’s and hope your little ones are settling in well.
Over the last few years, the PTFA have been raising funds to renovate the playground. We have added an all-weather area and retouched the playground markings including the netball court for all the children to enjoy. We have also provided each class with a rainy day playtime box full of fun games for the children to use when it’s too wet to go outside. For many years we have also given each class £100 to spend on something they feel will enhance the children’s learning, such as specialist resources or making that all important school trip possible.
Each year we try to run as many events possible – a yearly quiz, summer fete, firework display, cookie and ice cream sales and termly discos. During the first lockdown we decided to bring the St Andrew’s family together by organising a St Andrew’s teddy for all the children to show them they were still part of a bigger family and community even though they were not in school.
When you join the school you are automatically part of the PTFA and none of this would be possible without the support from parents, friends and family, so why not come along to the next meeting and share your ideas.
