Parent Teacher Friends Association (PTFA)
On behalf of the PTFA I would like to welcome you to St Andrew’s and hope your little ones are settling in well.
Over the past few years the PTFA have raised funds to be able to buy amazing things such as the Galleon and play trail in the playground, which all the children love playing on. Over the years the PTFA have been able to give each class £100 to spend on something they felt would benefit their children directly. For example in Asia (now Turtles) class bought a ‘tough spot’ which is used for outside messy play activities all year round.
The PTFA provided several playground benches for the children last Summer and are currently trying to fund a giant sun sail to make a quiet, shady area for the children in the playground. The excellent Summer Fete managed to raise £1,485.61. We also hosted a fantastic Quiz Night during the last half of term, which not only helped raise valuable funds but also provided a great social evening for both parents and staff.
This term we are staging our spectacular fireworks display, quiz, film night and school discos!
You are automatically part of the PTFA and none of this would be possible without the support from parents, friends and family, so why not come along to the next meeting and share your ideas.
I look forward to see you at the next meeting, dates can be found on the newsletter.
